Curves in Bikini is the new campaign for Swimsuitsforall. The online plus-size retailer is famous for its marketing campaigns. Pushing boundaries about body-diversity. And specifically inspiring women to feel confident in swimsuits no matter their size. We say Cheers to That!
The Curves in Bikini campaign features the stunning Ashley Grayham. She was the first plus-size model ever to land the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swim Issue. As a result, bringing size acceptance into the mainstream. Graham advocates for body positivity and self-acceptance. We say Double-Cheers to That!
For this shoot, we traveled to Klein Curacao (Little Curacao). An uninhabited island right of the coast. Little Curacao has a beautiful stretched white sand beach with crystal clear blue waters. Especially, when you catch the golden hour. That’s when the magic happens! Tho, keep in mind that only the early bird catches the worm – or the light.
Like the idea of Little Curacao for your next shoot?
If you want to shoot on Klein Curacao you have to be prepared to make a 1,5-hour boat trip. Depending on the weather this will be either smooth sailing or hanging over the railing (ugh). Also, daily charters with tourists visit the island. Therefore, early departure is necessary to have a couple of hours of an empty beach without disturbance. However, we have made this trip many times and it’s definitely worthwhile. Every time we are amazed about the beauty and tranquility of this little paradise. But don’t worry!
